I'm thinking I to replace my float, fill up the tank it hits full no problem, the problem is it wont go past 1/2 tank. Nothing like pushing the car back into the driveway when its slightly uphill.

Anyone pull the sending unit out without emptying the tank or is there a good way to do so?

If I gotta I gotta at that point I might just replace it all together sometime in the fall/ winter.

Brick, if the tank is @ or below 1/4 you can pull the sending unit no problem. I switched mine out a couple years back. Not a big deal. Oh, get yourself a brass drift. ;)
