Even if i know Monty Python is not a pre-requisite for anything special, I plan to watch all of them anyways. The main reason in that British humor is close to what i knew in college, wrehe the priests were prone to chasing the guy's mothers instead of the guys themselves.

I also get to watch them with my better half, since I found the subtitles for all the stuff.

Ilmost lost her on the first episode of the first season (Whiter Canada) soooo... I switched to the movies.

And now, for something completely different (1971) was also sketches, and... almost lost her again. Jaberwocky (1977) was better( ayt least... it had a story) and the guys were getting better at it.

next is life of Brian...

well now, sure figured out a few things with the : holy

Firsf off, when we watch a movie, we need subtitles. What I get is not always good timing wise, etc...

just imagine how many times i tried to get the subtitles right on this one...
I did find the source of a few jokes and moose references though...

Rowan Atkinson (mr bean) is Black Adder

He can also drive a mean racecar as well (currently races a Falcon Sprint in historic touring car races)- not to mention writing off his McLaren F1 supercar

Atkinson is currently fastest star in reasonably priced car on Top Gear

and I LOVE Mr. Bean....was glad to see him escape with minor injuries, tho I shed a tear or two over the F1.....my favorite supercar. We used to watch the Mr. Bean series on the local public broadcast station while in college....too poor to have cable......lauged our butts off! Catch it when we can now, and get the older boy to watch it. Cackles like a hyena......:rowan:.....

Mr. Bean has been very popular here in Quebec

No language barrier there

My favorite is getting ready and painting his appartment.

My kids loved it.

There's an Irish series which may appeal to some of you fans of British humour. Came out in the mid 90's

It's called "Father Ted".

It's about 3 priests and their housekeeper living on an island.
Doesn't sound much, but it has some of the funniest lines I have ever seen in any sitcom ever !!

I don't know how well the humour will translate, or if you guys will have difficulty with their accents, but it's worth a look.

If you don't like the first episode you watch, then try another, once you get to know the characters it makes it better.

TBH, I'm not sure where you'll be able to see complete episodes, but they're out there somewhere !
