well, while working on the Cougar in Hull, recently, installing the KHE-300 radio, we blew the 7.5amp midsize glass fuse 3 times...
the first time, my brother asked me where were my spare fuses... spare fuses? ... who knew.
He took out the burned mid sized 7.5a fuse, soldered a 7.5a blade fuse to the metal ends of the burned out one.
we blew that one too (slow learner here...) and he just heated the soldering, and replaced the blade fuse.
A soldered on blade fuse is great as a handle to pull it out, or push it in. 7.5a blade fuses are readily available!!!
14a blade fuses are not, but i imagine a 15a blade wouldn't kill anyone, or anything.
